pauses and full stops...
First of all, let me give an excuse for not writing on the maple leaf. The oft-cited one dolled out by professionals, friends, family and you name it. "I was busy."
Now let me brief you about what kept me "busy". (And now that I have decided to write, have I managed to escape this 'busy' web of human existence?)
Well, being 'busy' was not exactly the reason why I didn't write. I was running out of material. And my writing spirit was preoccupied with study designs, scales and ethnography and what not!
I have to write two research papers for tomorrow. I can declare myself "busy" this very moment. But I choose NOT TO.
Dabbling on the maple leaf gives me a relief. An unexplained joy when you find that people read the stuff you draw out of your dull existence.
Today evening, I watched the sun go down, sitting cross- legged on the green grass of the huge ground in the IIT campus.
A big bunch of langurs were joyfully playing away their time, not realizing I was envying their lives from a distance.
And there goes the thought for the night:) ( Inspired by the happy langurs!)
When we think that we are the busiest creatures in the world, ask yourself the following questions:
Are we really?
What am I running after? Can't I slow my pace a bit?
Am I cherishing this good moment in my life? Or charring it away with the thoughts of another day which I know nothing about?
Good night!
